This is not a government office. Clay County Released Inmates cannot confirm whether someone is held or released, pull an official record, change a custody status, accept a public-record request for an agency, or connect a caller with jail staff. Contact the responsible public office directly.
Clay County Sheriff and Jail

Phone: 785-632-5601
Fax: 785-632-3278
No public administrative hours or Sheriff records-fee schedule was found. Call before visiting. The county also offers an online Sheriff contact form, but it is not labeled as a Kansas Open Records Act portal. Ask for the records custodian and accepted request method.
Clay County District Court
Contact the District Court for a case docket, journal entry, bond order, dismissal, sentence, probation order, or other filed document. The court does not maintain the Sheriff’s physical jail-exit log.

Phone: 785-632-3443
Fax: 785-632-2651

Use the court’s open-record request procedure for a specific court document. The listed card-payment options concern court payments and do not establish a copy fee.
Clay County Court Services
Court Services handles local probation, bond supervision, work release, house arrest, community service, and reports. These are court-supervision functions, not KDOC parole.
Michael “Mac” McGuire, Court Service OfficerPhone: 785-632-3645
The Sheriff confirms when county custody ended. Court Services can address supervision it administers, and the court file provides the controlling order.
Kansas Corrections Records
Use KASPER for the public person search involving KDOC custody or funded supervision. Submit a state corrections record request through KDOC’s online KORA route. The research identified no street address or public office hours for that online records route, so none is supplied here.
- KASPER accuracy comments: kdoc_pub@ks.gov
- KDOC Enforcement/Apprehensions/Investigations tip line: 785-414-7755
- Parole Services Automated Reporting System: 866-570-7225
KDOC should not be asked to certify a Clay County jail-only release that it did not administer.
Kansas VINE Access
For an automated adult county-jail custody-status check or notification attempt, use Kansas VINELink, the VINELink mobile app, or call 1-866-574-8463. The service is available around the clock, subject to the reporting agency’s data. VINE is not a certified historical release packet. Verify an exact Clay County departure with the Sheriff.
Federal Custody Questions
The Bureau of Prisons locator covers BOP records, not county or state custody. Immigration detention is handled through the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. A missing federal result does not prove community release from another system.
